Fishing on the New River near Riversong Cabins

 

From the first of April until the end of October, the best fishing in this part of the country is on the New River. Several Virginia record fish have been netted on the New - record smallmouth bass 7pounds 7 ounces, record walleye 15 pounds 15 ounces and record muskie a whopping 45 pounds!

One of the favorite fishing sections of the New River can be accessed from Riversong by way of our short nature trail.
